SPRING BROWNBAG CONCERTS INCLUDE JAZZFEST, LUTE, AND THE AFRICAN DIASPORA

CLEVELAND—The 26th year of free Wednesday noontime Brownbag Concerts at Trinity Cathedral continues this spring, beginning April 7.

The concert series' winter hiatus was longer than usual this year. Music & Performing Arts staff have spent the past several weeks in Buenos Aires, Argentina preparing for South American performances of Dido & Aeneas and Gianni Schicchi with students from the Oberlin Conservatory and the Instituto Superior de Arte of the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. The productions played to two sold-out houses at Trinity in January.

Brownbag Concerts resume April 7 and continue through June 2. The Music & Performing Arts spring season also includes two evening concerts, on April 9 and April 27. Admission to the concerts, both noontime and evening, is free; a freewill offering is collected. All concerts take place at Trinity Cathedral at E. 22 and Euclid in downtown Cleveland. Parking for $3 is available in Trinity's lighted lot, adjacent to the building off Prospect.

Noontime concerts are in the Cathedral nave; evening concerts take place in the Gallery at Trinity Commons. New this spring, Artistic Director Daniel Hathaway will present Brownbag Concert pre-concert talks from 11:30 AM-11:55 AM in the Gallery.

Noontime concertgoers are invited to bring a lunch and share coffee and tea free of charge or buy a catered lunch for $5, available from 11:45 AM.
